This privacy notice explains what personal data the Eesti tatarlased platform collects and how it is used. We process as little data as possible and only to serve the community.

When you register as a member we store your email address (for sign-in). The name, email and message you send through the contact form are stored so we can reply. When you submit content (words, texts, images, genealogical data) we store it together with the necessary source or author information.

3. Why and on what basis

We process data to run a community, non-commercial platform: authenticating members, replying to enquiries, and publishing language and heritage content. The basis is your consent and the platform's legitimate interest in serving the community.

4. Cookies

We use only the session cookies needed for sign-in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics are added later, we will update this notice.

5. Who we share data with

Data is stored with our service provider, acting as our data processor. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

6. Personal and genealogical data

Community history and genealogy content may contain personal data.

7. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for its purpose: member-account data until the account is deleted, contact messages until the enquiry is resolved. Anything else is removed on request.
